regarding Senate Bill 217, providing sick days for workers:
"I think
that one of the things that we need to keep in mind is that...for the people
that really need to have one or two or four sick days a year...Some of them are
working two or three jobs. A lot of them have young children and
have to get them to a pediatrician...and working 50 or 60 hours and not being
able to have any flexibility in their life to take care of anybody...this is is
not an acceptable way for them to try to raise a family and maintain a household."
